Just had my second colonoscopy two weeks ago. My first one was at Cleveland Clinic 6 year ago. That was a exam I never forget with the gallon of prescribed fluids I started the day before that kept me up all night with horrible abdominal cramps every hour on the hour it was ridiculous.By the time my colonoscopy was over that day I went back to the motel room for a 3 hour power nap before I could even eat. I was whipped. This time Dr Lucchese prescribed a colonic by Visceral Vitality which was also covered by my insurance .The day before started with my first colonic with Melissa at Visceral Vitality. It was a simple and relaxing experience and I slept like a baby the night before my colon exam. The morning of my exam I followed up with one more cleanse that also helped to detox my body as well. They rolled me into to the surgery room an hour later and then medicated just to relax me The only thing I remember is the nurse saying now if you can roll over a little on your left side we’ll get you started. When having your colon cleansed two times in preparation of my exam had I lost over 6 pounds that day but my body was absorbing everything better into my body and just that little bit of medication knocked me out . A friend of mine sent me a letter about colonoscopy preparation, I found it very amusing and wanted to share the link for all of you to see. There is great humor in the article, but do not disregard the importance of colon/rectal screenings.

Well I must say that I was a bit apprehensive about the entire experience. My apprehensions quickly vanished upon my arrival. My colonic hydrotherapist (Monica) explained every step of the session in the greatest of detail. My modesty and comfort were never sacrificed throughout the entire session…I can’t stress that enough, I was very comfortable and relaxed. It was frightening to see via the viewing tube the toxins that were being released from my liver and pancreas…but also reassuring to know that they were no longer in my body! I lost an entire pound over the course of 35 minutes…incredible! I was also amazed at how relaxed and rejuvenated I felt the rest of the entire day. I can’t say enough good things about the staff of Visceral Vitality. This is most certainly a wonderful step in the right direction toward wellness. Thanks a million!

My first colonic cleansing experience was very pleasant. The therapists were very helpful at explaining the procedure and making my cleanse a pleasant experience. I lost 7 ½ pounds on my first cleanse, noticed energy to burn, sleeping better, less aches and pains and fresher breath to name a few. I’ve read documented medical studies that men while maintaining a regular hydro colonic cleansing regiment can and have reduced the size of enlarged prostrate gland . I’ve seen several urologists over the years and each one has tested, tested and tested plus always offered a list of several medications to reduce the size of my prostrate only to add and create more side effects, even reducing my sex drive. Now that I’ve had three hydro colonic cleanses my colon is functioning better, I’m urinating more openly, not getting up at night, even my liver is becoming toxic free. You can see the toxins coming out through the cleasning system. I’m now looking forward to consulting with a local physician on a regular bases to monitor my prostrate size with out any drugs. I truly believe that if your body and organs are kept clean of toxicity, your body will heal itself. I’m very excited about my new path to better health, thanks to Melissa and Monica. I’ll keep my blog posted in the future as we monitor my prostrate with my physician.

I have suffered from Rheumatoid Arthritis ever since I was 14 years old. I have been on several medications which everyone knows is very hard on the internal organs. I had been researching alternative ways to detox the body of toxins. I had done several of the deionizing footspa treatments before I had been recommened to try colon hydrotherapy”colonics”. I will be very honest…. when I first heard of it, I was very open-minded yet still a bit skeptic. For people with arthritis, you all know how rough the mornings are, or how we feel when the weather is going to change…we know it even before the weathermen do. Ever since I have had arthritis, I have always been very fatigued. I have felt like this for 15 years, until now. I have had three treatments and I will have my fourth one next week. I can’t remember the last time I have felt this good. I sleep better at night, and I am not tired when I wake up. For those of you are are skeptic, there was one phrase that has stuck in my mind during my research on cleansing the body and that was ” We deworm our animals regularly…why not ourselves.” Many of us carry parasites that we didn’t even know we had. Thanks to the colonics mine are gone.

Having had 3 of the colonics, I wanted to express my satisfaction with the whole process and share my experiences.
The first time I was a little nervous but no more than the first time someone would have a massage, etc. It took a little while to relax but Melissa was very understanding and worked with me to relax , explained what she was seeing leaving my body and helped me to understand why it needed to be out.
The second time was with Monica. I was more relaxed kn owing what was in store for me and because of this I was able to get rid of more toxins and even a large mass that was compacted at the top of the intestine.
The third visit was shortly after I had a massage. Monica and Melissa were curious to find out what toxins would be eliminated with a deep tissue massage and they did see a difference. I had quite a bit of a gray/white liquid that originally caused some concern but I quickly found out the cause. I have prostate cancer, in the very early stage, and they explained to me that cancer of any type will form toxins in the spleen where eventially it “should” be eliminated but by having a colonic, you are guaranteed to get rid of this bad stuff. With all of the other concerns with this cancer, it was a very positive feeling just knowing that the toxins caused by the cancer was being flushed out. A small victory but a victory none the less.
There are quite a few health benefits having a colonic and anyone trying it will feel much better. We all read that we need to drink plenty of water and stay hydrated, this is exactly what happens in your visit. Your body will absorb the necessary amount of water thereby making you feel better when finished. Women should be able to tell the difference in their skin tone if they were not properly hydrated before.
There is some bad press on taking pills and/or liquids to cleanse your colon but this is completely different, not even close to being the same.
I will especially use this treatment prior to having a colonoscopy as I hate the “prep” involved with the conventional method. Most people I talk to dispise drinking the liquids prior to their proceedure, and if you’ve not had Fleet, etc. you will not understand just how disgusting and nausiating it can be. Now I have a better and easier way to prepare with a colonic and I personally will never go back to the old way.
A colonic is definately worth a try and I would recommend it to anyone starting a diet, preparing for a colonoscopy or just wanting to feel better. And best of all you just can’t beat the personalized attention you will receive from either Melissa or Monica!
